Glennis Colleen Ward passed away May 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Iowa, just north of Coatsville, Missouri on May 24, 1936 to Glenn and Kathleen (Childs) Marshall.

She is survived by four sons, Douglas of Pulaski, Iowa, Donnie (Kim) Ward of Downing, Doyle of Lancaster, and Darrell (Lorrie) of Oologah, Oklahoma; two sisters, Joyce (Dale) Bogle and Cathy (Philip) Goodson of Bloomfield Iowa; two brothers, Arch (Laurel) Marshall of West Grove, Iowa, Larry (Judy) of Troy, Iowa; six grandchildren: Nikki (Eric) Long of Memphis, Kendi (Derek) Bradley, Devin (Mikala) Ward of Union, Kristin Ward of Downing, Daniel Ward of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Dallas (Schuyler) Van Emburg of Owasso, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles (Bud); and two brothers, Jerry Marshall and Gene Verl Marshall.

Glennis was a hard worker, farming alongside her husband most of their married life. She supported and helped her husband in running his own bulldozing construction company. They ran a dairy operation, hauled milk and owned and operated a feed store in Downing, Missouri. Glennis and her husband Bud also ran Ward Realty for several years.

Glennis always had a happy spirit, she enjoyed her years on the farm. She loved mowing the yard, watching the crops grow, caring for the cows, her kittens, and gardening. She loved to tell stories of her boys’ escapades but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service for Glennis will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Whippoorwill Acres, 16530 US Highway 63, Lancaster, Missouri.
