The Jauflione Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) of Scotland County recently recognized Dr. Harlo Donelson with a National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Community Service Award.  Dr. Donelson was recognized for his outstanding voluntary achievements to the community, most recently noting efforts with the Pheasant Airplane project in Scotland County.

The purpose of this award is to recognize worthy individuals for unpaid voluntary achievements in cultural, educational, humanitarian, patriotic, historical, citizenship, or environmental conservation endeavors. The recipient must have contributed to the community in an outstanding manner through voluntary heroic, civic, or benevolent service, or by organizing or participating in community service.

Members of the Jauflione Chapter attended a recent Scotland County Rotary Club meeting and presented the award to Dr. Donelson.
