Jeanette Jones was present to see about fixing the road in front of the Housing Association as people keep driving down the road and tearing it up. She said two residents became stuck in the mud and had to call a tow truck to get out. John is looking into putting something at the corner to keep people from driving in the grass and causing more ruts.
Dan Buckley from Advanced Disposal was present to discuss a possible city-wide trash pickup. He is going to put together some numbers for the board to get an idea of the cost per person. The board will know more on this in a couple of weeks.
Water/Waste Water Report: Water loss is down, which is good. The city does have a leak that John and Jerry Anderson will be working on this week. The lagoon is open and John took his first test to Centerville, IA and is waiting on the results.
Street Maintenance: John has been working on places that have washed out, which is an ongoing process.
Complaints that Board Members have been made aware of: PVC pipe that the Veterans Flag goes in was cut off. Carol will let the mower know about it.
Positive Thoughts: Board members wanted to thank Carol and John for the good jobs they are doing. They said they really appreciate all that we do.
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 pm. was made by Ray Bange and seconded by Hannah Poe and carried unanimously.
Submitted by Carol Dryden, City Clerk.
