Colonel Willis Bunch Jr., 57 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on February 1, 2016 at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
The son of Colonel Willis and Coleen Ann (Wilde) Bunch, he was born on September 28, 1958 in Kirksville, Missouri. He was a graduate of the Schuyler R-I School system in Lancaster, Missouri.
He served his country in the United States Air Force from which he received an honorable discharge. Following his discharge from the Air Force, he worked with Bob Crump on heavy equipment, worked for the county several years, built pole barns in Wyoming and then he became an over the road truck driver for a number of years.
He was united in marriage on December 4, 2000 to Rose Marie Page in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Bunch of Downing, Missouri; two stepsons, Dennis Merrell Rodman of St. Louis, Missouri and Kenneth Daniel Kirby and wife, Morgan of San Diego, California; three sisters, Rebecca Woods and husband, Lloyd of Eldon, Missouri, the Pantry’s of Lancaster, Missouri and Laura Watson and husband, Jason of Lancaster, Missouri; nieces and nephews and other family members.
Colonel is preceded in death by his parents; two stepsons, Hershcell Cullen Martinez and Travis Lee Martinez and one stepdaughter, Kellie Ann Rodman.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Schuyler County VFW Post 0784. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.
