HANNIBAL, MO – Steve Boggiano of Hannibal has received notification that the State Board of Accountancy has approved his certification application and he is now officially a Certified Public Accountant.
Steve Boggiano has been with Wade Stables PC in Hannibal for ten years, concentrating his practice in tax and auditing.
Requirements to be a certified public accountant are rigorous. Sitting for the CPA exam in Missouri requires that candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, which includes coursework in accounting, auditing, upper-division accounting and general business courses. The Uniform CPA Examination comprises four sections: Auditing and Attestation, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Regulation and Business Environment and Concepts. In addition to passing the CPA exam, applicants must pass the AICPA Ethics Examination.
