The annual Bible Grove Preservation Day is being held Saturday, August 19th at the Bible Grove School in Bible Grove, MO.

The day’s events begin at 10:00 a.m. with a Trap Shoot.  The food stand and museum will also be open at this time.  A Kettle Bean and Corn Bread Dinner will be served at Noon.

Activities in the afternoon begin at 1:00 p.m. with the Indian Creek Muzzle Loaders Black Powder Shoot.  For more information, contact Max Hamilton at 465-2206.

Other afternoon activities include Kids’ Games starting at 2:00 p.m. and a Cake Walk at 3:00 p.m.

A Grilled Chicken Supper will begin serving at 6:00 p.m.  Cost for the supper is $8 per person ($3 for ages 10 and under).

An Open Jam Session will take place at 7:00 p.m. and all musicians are welcome.  There will be a drawing for a patio set, the 50/50 pot and more at 8:00 p.m.

The Bible Grove School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  All proceeds and donations will go towards the preservation of the school house.

This event is hosted by the Bible Grove Historical Preservation Committee.  Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy some old-fashioned fun while supporting a part of Scotland County’s history!
