On Saturday, May 6, 2017, Bethany Ranee Mullinix, D.O. was among the 124 students who received their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OUHCOM) in Athens, OH.  Dr. Mullinix is part of the 37th class to graduate from OUHCOM, whose mission is to train Osteopathic primary care physicians.

Dr. Mullinix is a 2007 graduate from Schuyler County R-1 High School, receiving college credits from Moberly Area Community College and Central Methodist University.  In 2012 she graduated Cum Laude with Chemistry Departmental Honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with two Bachelor of Arts Degrees, one in Biology, the other in Chemistry and Psychology.

During medical school, Bethany chose to extend her medical training by one year, completing a pre-doctoral fellowship in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at OUHCOM’s Cleveland Campus.

In July, Dr. Mullinix will begin her three-year residency training in Family Medicine at Summa Akron City Hospital in Akron, OH, where she currently resides.

Dr. Mullinix is the daughter of Daron and Dianna Mullinix of Greentop, MO.  Grandparents are DeWayne and Virginia Mullinix of Downing, MO and the late Donnie and Vada Small of Rutledge, MO.
