A Baring man is facing a felony charge of attempted enticement of a child following his arrest by the Memphis Police Department on July 18th.
David D. Couch, 21, is being held in the Scotland County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond. He was taken into custody on July 20th following an investigation into his contact with a 13-year-old juvenile.
According to court documents, Couch allegedly was having communications of a sexual nature with a female via cell phone and was aware of the juvenile’s age. The illegal contact reportedly was performed on a cell phone that was owned by Couch’s girl friend, who after repossessing the phone from him, discovered the evidence and turned it over to the police department.
Couch was arraigned on July 21st in the Scotland County Court where he was advised of the charges and had a preliminary court date assigned for August 8th.
