Seated on the new furniture recently provided for the Scotland County Hospital laboratory waiting area by the hospital auxiliary, are members (L to R) Deanna Hubbard, Bonnie Hayes, Lorraine Rush (holding a picture of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Boyer) and Thelma Gaffney. Standing are Irene McCoy, Cindy Knauss, Twila Stevenson, Terry Arnold, Patty Golbricht and Bonny Hatfield.

The Scotland County Care Center/Scotland County Hospital Auxiliary made a donation to the Scotland County Hospital to purchase new furniture located in the hospital Laboratory waiting area, in the hallway outside of the Lab Draw doorway.  The furniture meets all ADA and infection control regulations and is attractive and comfortable for the patients.

The Auxiliary made this donation of furniture in memory of the late Mr. & Mrs. Hollis Boyer of Arbela, MO.  Hollie was a founding member of the Scotland County Care Center/ Scotland County Hospital Board of Directors and retired from the Scotland County Hospital Board of Directors in 2012.  Anabel was an original member of the Scotland County Care Center/Scotland County Hospital Auxiliary.

The Auxiliary is a not-for-profit organization that raises money through sales at the Hospital Gift Shop (Open Monday – Friday; 10 am-3 pm), quilt raffle, book fairs, pecan sales and Christmas Bazaar cookie sales.  The Auxiliary meets every third Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Scotland County Care Center.  Membership dues are $1 annually and new members are always welcome.
