Construction of the new all-weather track will impact the 2019 SCR-I football season, as parking and field access will be limited when the season kicks off on Friday evening.

Scotland County R-1 School District is highly anticipating hosting the first home football game of the season on Friday, August 30, 2019.

“August 30 will be the football home opener as the Scotland County Tigers will host the Marceline Tigers at 7:00 p.m. at Tiger Field,” said Athletic Director, Lance Campbell.

Due to site construction on the all weather track, public parking will not be permitted on the north side of the High School or Ag Building. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our constituents but we must ensure the safety of all patrons during construction.” said Superintendent, Ryan Bergeson. “We appreciate everyone working with us to ensure safety and efficiency during the home football games in 2019.

The district also asks that all patrons remain on the south side of the fence of the track for safety purposes. The only individuals that will be permitted beyond the fence on the front stretch will be student athletes, coaches, administrators, and game officials.

“We look forward to an outstanding football season and we encourage everyone to come out and support the Tigers,” said Bergeson.
