Edward and Becky Colvin of Wyaconda will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Saturday, August 19, at the Clark County Nutrition Site in Kahoka. The celebration is being hosted by their family and will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Colvin were married on August 19, 1967 at the United Methodist Church in Memphis with the Rev. John Gooch officiating. Mrs. Colvin is the former Rebecca Cravens, daughter of the late Hazel Jean and Russell Cravens of Memphis. Mr. Colvin is the son of the late Merle and Roscoe Colvin of Wyaconda. They are the parents of two sons, Greg Colvin and wife Cynthia of Hamilton, IL and Marc Colvin and wife Laura of Wyaconda. They are also the proud grandparents of granddaughter Erin Colvin of Hamilton, IL along with grandsons Owen and Cy Colvin of Wyaconda. Rebecca is employed with Shiloh Christian School near Kahoka and Edward is a self-employed farmer near Wyaconda. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the open house. The couple request no gifts.
