The quilt show has come and gone for 2014, during the Scotland County Antique Fair. A wide range of beautiful quilts were exhibited, each unique in their own way. Ages of exhibitors ranged from 9 years to 102!
Pictured here is a quilt exhibited by 102 year old Lena Martin. Lena has been making quilts since she was 10 years old.
Also among the quilts exhibited, was a quilt made by Rachael Cunningham, wife of William Cunningham, mother of O.E. Cunningham and grandmother of Shirley, Grace and Genola. This quilt was made at the turn of the century, 1900. It was shown by Nelda Billups and is truly a unique quilt.
We want to thank everyone that brought in quilts to exhibit and the helpers who helped set up and take down. A special thanks to Dorva Harbor and Patricia Coffrin.
The wildlife quilt was won by Wanda Parrish of Memphis and the Redbird Quilt was won by Connie Kirchner of Kahoka.
Keep quilting and we look forward to seeing you at the quilt show next Antique Days!
