Teammates Kris Lister and Bob Courtright look on as Darrell Harvey sinks a putt on hole number four during the J & J Ag Day Tourney at Timber Ridge Golf Course.

A total of 23 four-player teams helped cap off a successful fundraiser at Timber Ridge Golf Course on Friday, September 13th in Memphis. The J & J Ag Tournament brought golfers from across the Midwest to the local course to compete in the annual tourney to benefit the golf course.

The Boyer Construction Team took hole top honors on the day, carding a 14-under-par score of 54. That was three strokes better than the runners up.

The Fringe Benefits team claimed second in a tie breaker between three teams with final scores of 57. Third place went to the MLRS team with the Doggy Boy team taking fourth.

The Goob's Sales and Service Team won a tie breaker to take top honors in the A flight with a finals core of 62, which was six under par. Stein Seeds of Canton earned second place, while Pepsi finished third with a score of 63.

Jardin and Jon Fuller of J & J Ag were the title sponsors of the event, which is held each year to help the course generate revenue to offset upkeep costs for the facility.

Hole sponsors for the contest included RPM, Farm & Home, Ed's Machinery, Golden Furrow, Goob' Sales & Service, Scotland County Pharmacy, Bank Of Wyaconda, Hopkins Lumber, Mayberry Farms, Bradley Insurance, and GSI Glen/Susie Miller.

Food and refreshments were provided by J's Foods, Sweet Treats, Community Bank of Memphis and the Catfish Place.

Hole-in-one contests, offering $7,500 to any lucky golfer recording a perfect shot on the third or eighth hole, were sponsored by SC Vending and the Memphis Democrat.

Prizes were donated by US Bank, American Family Insurance, Gas & More, Pepsi, Memphis Lumber, US Cellular - Scott Wickert, Keith's Cafe, Community Bank of Memphis, SC Lanes, Goob's Sales & Service, Lloyd's Distributing, Oliver's Lessons & Club Repairs - Chris Oliver, Game Masters - Jake Brewer, Golden Eagle Distributing, The Catfish Place, and R & R Golf.
