Zach Miller sprinted his way to the Tri-Rivers Conference track MVP honors at the league meet last week in Unionville.
Tri-Rivers Conference foes will be glad to bid farewell to senior Zach Miller. The SCR-I standout was voted the most outstanding athlete at the 2013 conference track meet held April 30th in Unionville, after claiming victory in four events. Those 40 points played a key role in the Tigers team total of 163 that earned SCR-I the conference crown.
The Tigers held off North Shelby which finished second with 154.5 points and Milan with 137.5 points. Knox County (65 points) was fourth followed by Putnam County (63) and Schuyler County (52).

He took top honors in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.80 seconds, again holding off Milan teammates Thompson and Caleb May who finished second and third.
The 400-meter dash was the next on the list for Miller and his time of 54.19 seconds was nearly two full seconds better than runner-up Michael Orr from North Shelby.
Miller finished off his dominating day with a top finish in the long jump, reaching 20' 1.25 inches.
