Creek Among Signing Class at Culver-Stockton College
Megan Creek signed a letter of intent to play softball at Culver-Stockton College in Canton. Megan is pictured with her parents Allen and Teresa Creek, SCR-I softball coach Kim Small, sister Ashleigh Creek and C-SC coach Aron Potter.
Culver-Stockton College softball coach Aron Potter has announced the signing of more than two dozen players to letters of intent to attend school and play for the Wildcats, beginning with the 2012-13 school year.
Expected to join the Wildcats in August are pitcher Megan Creek of Scotland County R-I High School; pitcher Bethany Edwards of Bauxite, Ark. (Bauxite HS); infielder Bailey Gengenbacher of Quincy, IL (Quincy Notre Dame HS); utility player Leah Johnson of Vandalia (Van-Far HS); catcher Katie Pennewell of Monroe City (Monroe City HS); infielder Maddy Potterfield of Monroe City (Monroe City HS); outfielder Kayla Parrish of Eolia (Clopton HS); and infielder Kim Myers of Pacific (Pacific HS).
Also signing on the dotted line were utility players Ashley and Katie Watson of Brashear (Adair County R-II HS); pitcher Jenny Ward of White Hall, IL (North Greene HS); pitcher Samantha Bolin of Elgin, IL (South Elgin HS); outfielder Jennifer Ferguson of Wentzville, (Timberland HS); utility player Maggie Freise of Defiance (Lutheran HS); and outfielder Addie Stottlemyre of Chillicothe, (Chillicothe HS).
The Wildcats, who graduated four seniors, are expected to return 17 players for the 2013 season. C-SC finished the 2012 season with a 15-24 overall record and placed ninth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with a 5-13 league record.
Culver-Stockton College, located in Canton, is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is affiliated with the 10-team Heart of America Athletic Conference with schools located in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.
