ZENITA PEARL TRUEBLOOD

Zenita Pearl Trueblood, 91, of Queen City, Missouri, formerly of Memphis, Missouri, passed away Sunday morning, May 5, 2013, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. The daughter of Robert and Nora Burns Harvey, she was born July 29, 1921 at Arbela, Missouri.
She graduated with the class of 1940 and then married D. Owen Trueblood on October 28, 1940 and to this union five children were born. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1988. Others preceding her in death included her brother, Harry Harvey; son, Ronald Eugene Trueblood and son-in-law, Daryl Kell.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jainelle Kell of Lakeland, Florida and Wanda Lea Hicks and her husband Gary of Brashear, Missouri; two sons, Harvey Dean Trueblood and his wife Pat of Adamsville, Alabama and Leon Trueblood and his wife Marlena of rural Memphis, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Trueblood of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Schuyler County Nursing Home or the Schuyler County Nutrition Site and can be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, Missouri 63555.
Funeral services were held at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Interment followed in the Memphis Cemetery east of Memphis.
Pallbearers were Robert Seward, Tony Shelley, Joe Eddie and Howie Harvey, Arlo, David, Randy and Carl Trueblood. Musicians were Joan Hinds, organist, and Angela Westhoff, soloist.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis.
