Gene's Surplus Offering Brands You Like at Prices You Love
"Brands you like, at prices you love". That is the slogan for the newest store in Memphis. Gene's Surplus officially opened its doors for business on Monday, October 28th.
Located on the west edge of Memphis on Highway 136, Gene's Surplus will feature overstocks, closeouts and store returns from some of the biggest retail outlet stores in the nation.
Store owners Eugene and Minerva Oberholtzer anticipate the store inventory changing regularly based on product availability.
Shoppers during the store's opening week will be greeted with bargain prices on Craftsman and Black & Decker tools as well as a wide variety of other power tools and hand tools not to mention automotive and lawn & garden equipment, including chain saws.
The shelves are filled with outdoor items for hunting, fishing and camping including bow cases, tackle boxes and much more.
The 2,500 square footage store has plenty of room to offer a full line of household items including a wide variety of counter-top appliances. A large number of shoes and boots also fill the shelves.
Coming soon will be shipments of toys and other Christmas gift ideas.
Gene's Surplus, located in the former Countryside Flowers location, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call 660-465-7445.
