SCR-I Claims Campus Bowl District Championship

Scotland County R-I won District 6 Class 2 Campus Bowl Championship at Knox County High School on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
In Round 1, Scotland knocked off Schuyler County 420 to 80.
In the 2nd Round of the Preliminaries, Scotland defeated Knox with a score of 310 to 150.
Round 3 was a little closer with Scotland scraping by Monroe City 260 to 230.
At 6:00 p.m. play resumed with South Shelby, Monroe City, Knox County, and Scotland making it into the evening rounds.
Scotland played Knox and won in overtime with the score ending 250 to 220, passing through 10 extra questions before the match was finally over.
Scotland advanced to the Championship round and took on South Shelby. It was a close match all the way, but Scotland inched past with the final score being 280 to 190.
Named Captain of the First All-Bowl Team was Josh Keller with a total of 54 correct answers. Chris Smeltser was named 5th on the All-Bowl Team answering 23 correct questions throughout the day.

Scotland will advance and be hosting Sectionals on April 25, 2012, beginning at 5:00 p.m. against Paris High School. The winner of the best two out of three games will advance to State on May 4th and 5th in Columbia.
