(9/10/1932 - 6/13/2012)

Lois Irene Wilson, age 79, of Wyaconda, MO, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at her home.

Lois was born in rural Clark County, MO on September 10, 1932, a daughter of Harry Maurice and Maude Harness Dochterman.

Lois was a 1950 graduate of Wyaconda High School. Two years later on July 30, 1952, she was united in marriage to Clifford I. Wilson in Kahoka by Rev. Golden. Next month they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford I. Wilson, of the home; two sons, Harry A. Wilson and his wife, Diane, of Williamstown, MO, and Kevin I. Wilson and his wife, Lorie of Memphis, MO; two daughters, Marsha K. Boatman and her husband, Roy, of Wyaconda, MO and Anita J. Watkins and her husband, Randy, of Memphis, MO; eight grandchildren: Joshua and Toby Wilson of Williamstown, MO, Kena Frederick and her husband, Gerald, of Baring, MO, Aaron Boatman of Quincy, IL, Mark Boatman of Wyaconda, MO, Adam Boatman of Salina, KS, Amanda Watkins of Hannibal, MO and Riley Watkins of Memphis, MO; four great-grandchildren: Laramie Frederick and fiancť, Jeff Jackson of Downing, MO, Erika McBane, Cheyenne Frederick, and Sorrel Frederick all of Baring, MO; one great-great grandson, Ian Jackson of Downing, MO; one sister, Wilma Goldsberry of Keokuk, IA; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Arlene Dochterman of Memphis, MO, Mildred and Vernon Howard of Memphis, MO and Nancy Wilson of Canton, MO; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Matthew Wilson; brothers: Ross, Donald and Robert Dochterman; and sisters, Cleta Mae Kraus, Letha Brown and Geneva Bange.

Lois was a member of the Wyaconda Baptist Church. She was a cook at Fairmont School and later at Wyaconda School for over 20 years. She was an excellent cook, but it was her cinnamon rolls that were always in demand. Lois worked hard all of her life, working side by side with Clifford in the fields and with the livestock, gardening, and caring for her grandchildren. She always put others first, always offered help to others, and never wanted to be a bother to anyone. She lived her life in a simple manner with her family being her greatest treasure. For years she served Sunday dinner once a month and loved it when all of the family could come home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Rob Quillin and Rev. Ernest Deatrick officiating. Special music was recordings "In the Garden", "Mansion Over The Hilltop" and "When I Get Where I'm Going".

Honorary Pallbearers were Laramie, Cheyenne and Sorrell Frederick, Erika McBane and Ian Jackson. Pallbearers were Joshua and Toby Wilson, Kena Frederick, Aaron, Mark and Adam Boatman and Amanda and Riley Watkins. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.

Memorials were suggested to the Wyaconda Fire Department or the donor's choice.
