Nellie Mae Moore, 87, of Memphis, Missouri passed away Tuesday evening, June 5, 2012, at her residence in Memphis.

The daughter of Tony E. and Pansy Akens Durbin, she was born September 19, 1924 in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

On May 23, 1946 she was united in marriage to Leslie "Chub" Moore Jr. and to this union two children were born: Gayle and Tony.

Nellie spent her childhood in Edina and graduated from there. After she got married they moved to Memphis and spent the rest of her life here, being involved in community activities, spending time with her family, St John's Catholic Church where she was a member and working at what was known then as the Farmers and Merchants Bank in the bookkeeping department for many years before retiring.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two sisters, a nephew and two brothers-in-law.

Surviving relatives include her daughter; Gayle Gray (Dennis) of St. Charles, MO, her son; Tony Moore (Karen) of Unionville, MO, four grandchildren; Stephanie Gray (Hayden) of Eugene, OR, Leslie Troutman (Donovan) of Memphis, MO, Eric Gray (Jenny) of St. Charles, MO and Michael Moore and fiancÚ, Kristan Kaldenberg of Memphis, MO, two step-grandchildren, Cody Smith (Tawny) of Salt Lake City, UT and Laticia Smith of Harris, MO, great-grandchildren; Shelby Troutman, Kierstyn Moore, Isabella and Auden Harker, Eva and Kellen Gray, Autumn Smith and Zephania Clark. Other survivors include her brother; Murle Durbin of Pasadena, TX, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other friends and relatives including Beverly Moore of Republic, Missouri.

Memorials are suggested to the Avenue of the Flags at the Memphis Cemetery and can be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St. Memphis, Missouri 63555.

Memorial Graveside services were held Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at the Memphis Cemetery with Pastor Dan Hite officiating. Inurnment followed the committal.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis.
