Mary L. Kennedy, 89, of Keokuk died at 1:20 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012, in Keokuk Area Hospital.
Mary was born on November 4, 1922, in Memphis, MO, the daughter of Marvin and Opal Rose Stice.
She lived in the Keokuk area most of her life.
She owned and operated a ceramics shop from her home and enjoyed plaster crafts and sewing.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Melvin and Mary M. Kennedy, both of Keokuk; a granddaughter, Julie Melvin of Newport, VA; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Roy Dowda.
Graveside services were held in Sunset Memorial Park.
Family and friends met at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center in Keokuk to travel in procession to Sunset Memorial Park.
