Laura Hoover Nolt, 18, of rural Hurdland, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, on February 13, 2012, while visiting in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

Laura was born on December 12, 1993, in Memphis, Missouri, the daughter of Curvin W. and Ada F. Hoover Nolt.

She is a member of the Oakview Mennonite Church southeast of Edina, Missouri. She lived most of her life in the Memphis, Missouri area before moving to the farm northwest of Edina, Missouri in 2010.

Laura is survived by her parents, Curvin and Ada Nolt of rural Hurdland, Missouri; three brothers, Jonathon H., Nolan H. and Marvin H. Nolt; five sisters, Lonita H., Melinda H., Rhoda H., Joanna H. and Regina H. Nolt; grandparents, Marvin S. and Martha Weaver Nolt of Peach Bottom, PA and Martin N. and Martha Fox Hoover of Leola, PA; aunts and uncles (Nolt), Nelson and Velma Nolt of Peach Bottom, PA, David and Joanne Reiff of Loyesville, PA, Burnell and Mary Jane Nolt of Peach Bottom, PA, Aaron and Christine Martin of Mohrsville, PA, Gilbert and Karen Weaver of Carpenter, WY, Earl and Charlotte Lehman of Myerstown, PA, Wilmer and Rosene Nolt of Peach Bottom, PA and Dean and Virginia Zimmerman of Narvon, PA; aunts and uncles (Hoover),Vera Hoover of Leola, PA, Levi and Marie Hoover of Denver, PA, Samuel and Sarah Petershiem of Arborvale, VA, Edwin and Esther Brubaker of Memphis, MO, Carl and Lydia Hoover of Gorin, MO, George and Rebecca Brubaker of Landisburg, PA, Raymond and Janet Hoover of Newville, PA, Chester and Lena Mae Hoover of Leola, PA, Edna Sensenig of Stevens, PA, Irwin and Frances Weaver of Memphis, MO and David and Ella Musser of Myerstown, PA.

Laura was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria H. Nolt on September 24, 1991 and two uncles, Ezra Sensenig on November 4, 2002 and Harry F. Hoover on September 25, 1995.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center, south of Memphis, Missouri.

Burial was in the Oakview Mennonite Cemetery, southeast of Edina, Missouri.

Officiating was Nelson Beachy, Noah Miller, Jr., Carl Hoover and Nathan Zimmerman. Casket Bearers were Terry Lehman, Clifford Martin, Milford Hoover, Delmar Nolt, David Sensenig and Anthony Weaver.

The family requests no flowers, only your thoughts and prayers.

Arrangements for Laura Nolt are under the direction of the Doss Funeral Home of Edina, Missouri.
