Downing Man Picked Up on Felony Warrants
A Downing man was taken into custody on Wednesday on a pair of felony warrants.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Keaton W. Baker, 21, was arrested at 9:10 p.m. on a felony probation violation warrant from Miller County and a felony probation violation warrant from Camden County.
Baker was taken to the Schuyler County Sheriff's Office, where he was booked on no bond.
The warrants stem from Keaton's 2009 arrest and conviction in Camden County on burglary and resisting arrest charges. He was sentenced to five years probation on the case.
Following his subsequent arrest in 2010 in Miller County for the class B felony of distribution or manufacture of a controlled substance, Baker's probation was revoked and he was sentenced to four years in the DOC. The execution of that sentence was suspended and he was placed on five years probation.
That coincided with a suspended imposition of sentence and five years of probation he received on the drug charge in Miller County.
In September of this year, Baker was arrested in Schuyler County on felony charges of resisting arrest and attempting escape.
Probation violation hearingd were held in November in both Camden and Miller counties, but Baker failed to appear resulting in the issuance of the felony warrants.
