Memphis Cinema Going Digital

The Memphis Community Players are pleased to announce that the Memphis Cinema will reopen on Friday, October 5th. Movies will be shown on the new digital equipment that was installed last week by Sonic Equipment of Iola, Kansas. The theater will open this weekend with the animated summer hit "Ice Age-Continental Drift", followed by "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" on October 12th, "Hope Springs" on October 19th, and "Hotel Transylvania" to set the theme for Halloween the weekend of October 26th. Showtime is 7:00 p.m. with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

Admission will increase this year to three dollars ($3) due to the increase in the cost of operation. The low price of admission is kept due to the volunteers that assist with ticket sales and concessions. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Kim Smith at (660) 342-7033 or Jo Ann Peters at (660) 465-8943.

Come out for the movie this weekend and enjoy the quality of the picture and sound produced by the newly installed digital equipment.
