Benefit Planned for Local Crash Victim

Craig Wittstock suffered serious injuries in an August wreck that destroyed his pickup.
Family and friends have organized a benefit for an Arbela man injured in a car crash recently. Craig Wittstock suffered four broken bones in his neck in an early-morning one-vehicle accident in Clark County on Sunday, July 22.
He was hospitalized in Columbia for nearly a week recovering from the injuries that have left him in a neck brace, following surgeries to replace the C7 vertebrae.
On Saturday, August 25th supporters will gather at Jackson Auction House on the northwest corner of the Memphis square. A variety of kids games will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A benefit auction will be held at 6 p.m. with desserts being served.
Organizers also announced that Black Bear, a local band led by Tyler Troutman, will be performing at the Arbela 4 Corners following the benefit auction.
Proceeds of the evening's events will help offset medical bills stemming from Wittstock's treatment.
