U.S. Rep. Sam Graves to Visit Scotland County
Congressman Sam Graves (R-Tarkio) will visit Scotland County on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. Graves will visit the Wiggins Family Museum in Memphis to see "The Pheasant." Graves is an avid antique plane enthusiast.
The public is invited to meet the congressman as part of his tour throughout his district.
Graves is the current United States Congressman for Missouri's Sixth Congressional District. Twelve new counties including Scotland have been added to his current area, which includes 36 counties in the northern part of the state, from the Kansas to Illinois border.
Graves, a farmer, received more than 80% of the vote in the August 7 primary for his re-election. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Small Business Committee. The Congressman also serves on the Transportation Committee and is one of only a handful of farmers in Congress.
