Community Players Announce Plans for Summer Production
Performances of the Memphis Community Players' production of "Drinking Habits" will be held August 2, 3, and 4, at 7:30 at the Memphis Theatre.
Director Sheila Berkowitz described "Drinking Habits" by Tom Smith as a "laugh-out-loud" farce about accusations, mistaken identities and romances run wild. The comedy, with plot twists galore, is about two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing Convent who have been secretly making wine to keep the convent doors open. Two reporters who go undercover as a nun and a priest and the addition of a nun to the convent creates paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down.
Tickets for the performance are $8.00. Box office hours will be announced next week for the kickoff of advance ticket sales.
