Investigation Into Local Break-ins Results in Arrest of Memphis Teen
The investigation by the Memphis Police Department into a string of burglaries in town has led to the arrest of a Memphis teenager.
According to the Memphis Police Department, Michael Yarbrough, 17, and a juvenile accomplice, allegedly broke into the concession stand at the Scotland County R-I football field on April 1st.
A screwdriver was reportedly utilized to break the lock and gain entrance to the concession stand, where the two individuals allegedly removed some of the facility's inventory.
Court documents indicate that approximately $1,600 of damage was done to the door in the break-in.
Yarbrough has been charged with burglary in the second degree as well as charges of stealing and property damage in the first degree.
The second individual allegedly involved in the break-in was turned over to juvenile authorities.
Yarbrough was assigned a May 15th court date.
