Traffic Stop Results In Drug Arrest
A Kirksville man is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Scotland County on March 6th.
Adam C. Heller, 25, was arrested after being stopped by a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper on Highway 15 near the Route D intersection for a speeding violation.
Heller was stopped for traveling 83 mph in a 55 mph zone on a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He was ticketed for speeding and operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended or revoked.
During a subsequent search of the bike, the Trooper located a prescription pill container that included Adderall, a schedule II controlled substance. He was cited for class C felony possession of a controlled substance.
He was transported to the Scotland County Jail where he is being held on a $15,000 cash only bond.
