Undercover Investigation Results in Numerous Drug Arrests

A lengthy undercover investigation led to a number of drug-related arrests in Scotland County on Wednesday, February 29th.

According to the Scotland County Sheriff's Office, five arrests were made as a result of the 16-month investigation. Officers from the Memphis Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, the patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control and the North Missouri Drug Task Force participated in the investigation and the ensuing arrests.

Robby L. Burnett, 24, of Memphis, was charged with two counts of class B felony of delivery of a controlled substance.

Eric D. Clayton Sevier, 33, of Memphis, was charged with one count of class B felony distribution of a controlled substance.

Joseph L. Spurgeon, 22, of Granger, was charged with four counts of class B felony distribution of a controlled substance.

Jamie A. Garrett, 44, of Memphis, was charged with two counts of class B felony distribution of a controlled substance.

All four men are being housed in the Scotland County Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.

Robert H. Fleming, IV, 28, of Fairfield, IA, was arrested on February 29th by the Fairfield Police Department on a Scotland County warrant for the class B felony of distribution of a controlled substance, and a class C felony charge of distribution of marijuana.

Fleming waived his extradition rights, and was transported to Memphis on March 5th by the Scotland County Sheriff's Office. He is being held in the Scotland County Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.

Sherry D. Stone, 35, of Montrose, IA was charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance.

Sarah J. Parker, 27, of Memphis, was charged with one count of class B felony distribution of a controlled substance.

Both women are being housed in the Clark County Detention Center on $50,000 cash only bond.

Marti D. Robbins, 21, of Memphis was arrested at 10:32 a.m. on February 29th. She was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
