Girls Earn #2 Seed at Districts, Boys Seeded Sixth
With just two regular season basketball games remaining, the Scotland County varsity squads now know what they will have to do to keep their seasons rolling as the Class 2 District 6 brackets were released this week. Schuyler County will host the district tournament the week of February 27 through March 3rd in Queen City.

SCR-I will take on #7 seed Cairo on Tuesday, February 28th at 4:30 p.m. Later that night, #3 Milan will tip off versus #6 Knox County at 7 p.m. The winners of these two contests will meet in the district semifinals at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 1st.
On the top of the bracket, #1 Putnam County will play #8 Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 27th followed by #4 Marceline versus #5 Schuyler County at 7 p.m. The winners of those two contests will ace off on the semifinals on Thursday, March 1st at 4:30 p.m.
The girls championship game will be played Saturday, March 3rd at 2 p.m.

Scotland is seeded sixth, setting up a first round game versus #3 seed Knox County at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28th.
Cairo, the #2 seed will take on #7 Milan earlier in the evening, with the winners of the two games to face off in the semifinals on Thursday, March 1 at 8:15 p.m.
On the top of the bracket, Canton will play #8 seed Schuyler County at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, February 27th. Marceline will then battle Putnam County in a game featuring the #4 and #5 seeds. The winners of those two games will advance to the semifinals with a game set to tipoff at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 1st.
The boys championship game will be played Saturday, March 3rd at 3:15 p.m.
According to Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) rules, the gates will open each evening one hour prior to the first contest. Admission is $4 for all patrons age six and above.
