Tigers Make it Three in a Row With 66-36 Win Over Green City
A three-game winning streak has returned Scotland County to the .500 mark following a 66-36 demolition of Green City on Monday night in Memphis.
The Tigers used a balanced scoring attack to bury the Gophers in the second half.
Scotland County built an 18-12 advantage after eight minutes of play. Cordie Kigar came off the bench to can a couple of three pointers to fuel the first quarter scoring.
SCR-I continued to knock down shots from behind the arc as Kasey Dial and Drew Miller both hit three pointers in the second quarter to push the margin to 32-22 at the intermission.
The third period was the difference maker as Scotland County used a 16-5 run to blow the game open. Miller hit a pair of three pointers and Sabe Sears had eight points during the stretch that gave the Tigers control of the contest.
Dakota Wells scored seven points in the final period as Scotland County put the finishing touches on their third straight victory to even the team's season mark at 7-7.
Sears topped the score book with 12 points while Miller and Kigar each finished with 11 points. Wells added nine points and Andrew Mathes pitched in with eight points. All nine Tigers scored in the game.
