MARGIE ELVEDA DEAN SEDERBURG

Margie E. Sederburg, age 84, of Luray, MO, died Sunday, December 18, 2011, at her home.
She was born May 9, 1927 at Spickard, MO, a daughter of Claude and Nora Turner Dean. On February 10, 1947 she was united in marriage to Marvin Sederburg in Iowa City, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 65 years; two sons, Freddie Dale (Carol) Sederburg of West Plains, MO, and Stanley Sederburg of Portage, IN; two daughters, Darlene Magruder of Shelbina, MO and Judy (Mrs. Chancey) Cordray of Luray, MO; ten grandchildren: Angela (Mrs. Mark) Schindler of Springfield, MO; Heather (Mrs. Matt) Squires of West Plains, MO, Ashley Majewski and friend, Ronnie, Zachary Majewski, Brittany and Zayne Sederburg, all of Portage, IN; Jamie Marie Magruder of Los Angeles, CA, Christopher (Corey) Cordray of Kahoka, MO, Amber (Mrs. Chris) Moeller of Luray, MO, and Chancey H. Cordray of Luray, MO; ten great-grandchildren: Breckin and Samantha Schindler, Ethan Squires, Leia Stewart, Shelby and Alexis Cordray, Stephanie (Mrs. Derek) Sammons, Miranda and Kyle Golbricht and Riley James Moeller; one great-great-grandchild, Mackenzie Jo Sammons; two sisters, Catherine (Mrs. John) Huston of Kahoka, MO and Pauline Cordray of Luray, MO; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary Jo (Mrs. Gail) Howell of Whitefish, MT, Darlene Dean of Luray, MO and Miles Sederburg of Mt. Sterling, IA; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, James Weldon Magruder; three brothers, Aaron "Bill", C. J. and Edward Dale Dean; a sister, Margaret Sederburg; two nephews, Donnie and Edward Dean, Jr.; a niece, Marlena Dean; great-nephew, Adam Sederburg; and, great-niece, Summer Dean.
Margie spent most of her time as a homemaker. She was very close to her family and extended family and enjoyed being with all of them. She had been a CNA for many years, the past eighteen years prior to her retirement at the Scotland Co. Nursing Home in Memphis.
Some of her talents included embroidery work, sewing and quilting. She loved looking at pictures, especially of family, and enjoyed looking at all of them. She and Marvin had attended many Bluegrass and Country Music shows through the years, loved attending the Clark Co. Mule Festival and also going camping. She loved most of all babysitting for her grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Special music was recordings "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace".
Honorary Pallbearers were Amber Moeller, Angela Schindler, Heather Squires, Ashley Majewski, Brittany Sederburg, and Jamie Magruder.
Pallbearers were Christopher Cordray, Chancey H. Cordray, Dakota Peterson, Zachary Majewski, David Huston and Ryan Drillon.
Burial was in the Combs Cemetery at Luray.
