LLOYD S. HOOVER
(9/26/1937 - 5/4/2011)
Lloyd S. Hoover, age 73 years, 7 months, and 8 days, of Barnett, Missouri, passed away at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. He was born September 26, 1937, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the son of Levi N. and Edna W. Hoover.
He was a farmer most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Kilmer) Hoover, and five children; two sons, Mervin K. and Ruth M. Hoover of Rutledge, Missouri and Michael K. Hoover of Latham, Missouri; three daughters, Marian Irene June of Newark, New York; Emma Mae and husband David J. Hoehler of Shobonier, Illinois, and Ruth Elaine (Ruthe) and husband Dean B. Zimmerman of Tunas, Missouri; three brothers, Joeseph S. and wife Ada Z. of Riceville, Iowa, Raymond S. of Topton, Pennsylvania, and Marvin S. of Fortuna, Missouri; and one sister, Emma and husband David N. of Leola, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi N. and Edna W. Hoover, one sister, Verna, and one sister-in-law, Minnie Hoover, wife of Raymond Hoover.
Funeral services were held May 10, at the Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church near Latham. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Leland Hoover, Shannon Hoover, Harvey Hoover, Lester Hoover, Raymond Zimmerman, and Mark Zimmerman serving as casketbearers.
