Larry Lee Reynolds, 72 of rural Lancaster, Missouri passed away at his home on Sunday, March 27, 2011.
The son of Paul Lee and Carmen Mae (Pickens) Reynolds, Larry was born on June 6, 1938 in Schuyler County, Missouri. Larry attended and graduated from the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri with the class of 1956.
On January 16, 1978 in Unionville, Missouri, Larry was united in marriage to Joyce Bowling.
Larry is survived by his wife, Joyce Reynolds of Lancaster, Missouri; 3 children, Larry Paul Reynolds and wife, Margaret of Lancaster, Missouri, Pennie Lea Pearson and husband, George of Minnesota and Pamela Dawn Lyons and husband, Kevin of Ogden, Iowa; 5 step children, Howard Earl Bowling and wife, Lois of Centerville, Iowa, Paul Douglas Bowling and wife, Sherry of Lancaster, Missouri, Timothy Dean Bowling and wife, Denise of Queen City, Missouri, Beverly Joyce Oliver and husband, Ronnie of Glenwood, Missouri and Richard Leo Bowling and wife, Phylis of Unionville, Missouri; 23 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Deborah A. Bleymeyer and husband, Robert of Forrest Lake, Minnesota; 1 nephew, Rob Bleymeyer and wife, Dani of Chisago, Minnesota; 1 niece, Brett Bleymeyer of Forrest Lake, Minnesota; 3 great nephews; other family members and many good friends.
His parents and one grandson, Joshua Allen Bowling on January 7, 2003, preceded Larry in death.
Larry was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church of Lancaster, Missouri. He was also a member of Glenwood Masonic Lodge #427 of Glenwood, Missouri and Moila Shrine and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star.
He was an avid hunter and a fisherman all of his life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 between the hours of 6-7:30 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorial services will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating followed by Masonic services conducted by the Glenwood Lodge #427 of Glenwood, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Little League. As the body has been cremated, burial will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
