Roberta Ann Baker, 74 of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

She was born on December 29, 1936 in Downing, MO, the daughter of Glen Hathoway and Ethel Margaret Schubert Seamster. On November 25, 1954, Roberta was united in marriage to Verlin Morris Baker at the Baptist Church in Downing, MO. He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Margaret Ann Lefler and her husband Mike of Hamilton, IL, one son, Roger Morris Baker and his wife Sheila of Eagle River, Alaska, four grandchildren, Brad Lefler of Keokuk, IA, Randy Lefler and his wife Kayla of Normal, IL, Rebecca Baker of Eagle River, Alaska and Curtis Baker of Grand Forks, ND, five great-grandchildren, Austin, Matt, Gabi, Hannah and Caleb, one sister, Wilma Nicholson and her husband Bob of Canton, OH and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

She had been employed at the Lee County Treasurer's Office in Keokuk, IA for eighteen years, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church and the Good Sam Club in Mountain Home, AR. When she lived in Keokuk, IA, she was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Kings Daughters Circle.

Roberta enjoyed sewing and making craft projects. She loved to travel with her husband and they made trips to 48 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, missing only Florida and Georgia. They had also enjoyed trips to Mexico and several provinces in Canada.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Keokuk National Cemetery with Larry Sipes officiating.
