Three Injured in Crash South of Rutledge
A two-vehicle accident south of Rutledge on Saturday left three northeast Missouri residents with injuries. The crash occurred at 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Route M and Route K.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dorothy H. Weiler, 31, of Edina, was southbound in a 2000 Ford attempting to cross the intersection when her vehicle struck a westbound 2008 GMC driven by Ethan C. Hustead of Rutledge.
A passenger in the Weiler vehicle, eight-year-old Regina F. Weiler, sustained minor injuries. She was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
Dorothy Weiler sustained moderate injuries in the crash. She was transported by Knox County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital.
Hustead sustained minor injuries and sought his own medical treatment
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by Scotland County and Knox County first responders, the Knox County Sheriff's Department, the Scotland County Sheriff's Office, and the Knox County and Scotland County ambulance services.
