Memphis Man Arrested Following Crash
A Memphis man is facing numerous charges following a traffic accident in Scotland County on Friday, November 4th.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jeffrey C. Grogan, 47, was ticketed for felony driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender following a one-vehicle accident on Route E near the intersection of County Road #400.
The vehicle Grogan was driving reportedly ran off the road and overturned twice. He and a passenger were uninjured in the crash.
Officers from the Scotland County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident and later located Grogan.
He was taken into custody at 5:40 p.m. and transported to Scotland County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
Grogan is also facing charges of felony resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident and failure to wear a seatbelt.
The vehicle was removed from the accident scene by Lakeside Towing.
