Grosenkemper Receives Employee of the Year
On August 22, 2011, Jerry Grosenkamper, Maintenance Supervisor of Scotland County Care Center, traveled to Branson, MO to received an award for Employee of the Year for District 6 through the Missouri Health Care Association. While in Branson, Jerry also received the statewide award for Employee of the Year. Jerry has worked at the Scotland County Care Center for 30 years in the Maintenance Department.
Jerry Grosenkemper was honored with an award for Employee of the Year for District 6 and also received the State Wide Award for Employee of the Year in Branson, MO on August 22, 2011. Jerry is the maintenance supervisor at the Scotland County Care Center, where he has worked in the maintenance department for 30 years. Jerry not only fulfills his duties as far as plant operation duties but goes above and beyond.
Jerry looks out not only for making sure the Care Center is safe but also that it looks well taken care of. He keeps the Care Center in immaculate shape, inside as well as out, doing painting, waxing floors, installing wood floor tile on the interior and mowing and scooping snow outside.
Jerry has successfully led the Scotland County Care Center Relay for Life Team raising $10,000.00 for the past eight years. He helps transport staff during bad weather. Jerry also takes part in all facility functions such as driving the Care Center bus on out trips to donning a tuxedo to escort the ladies in the Care Center pageant each year. Jerry helps the activity department with various activities the Care Center does for residents and their families. He helps with setting up special suppers to serve residents and their families, helps with the fireworks display, and gives wagon rides, using his own truck and wagon and gets other volunteers to help. He helps with the fishing trips, BBQ's or whenever he is needed. He has even been known to manage the Laundry Department for a short period of time and help fold laundry when needed.
Jerry is loved by the residents at Scotland County Care Center. He demonstrates compassion to every resident entrusted to them through the years, and shows consistent devotion to the residents and fellow employees.
