Edith Blaine Crowned District VI Ms. Missouri Nursing Home Queen
Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA) District VI held the annual Golden Age Games competition and Ms. Missouri Nursing Home Pageant for area long term care residents on May 13, 2011 at Hannibal LaGrange College.
Over 120 residents, representing 15 facilities attended the event.
"My favorite part of the day is seeing the resident's faces when they win a medal," said Libby Youse, Administrator at Salt River Community Care and one of the Dist VI Golden Age Games Coordinators.
Golden Age Games participants competed in many competitions including a livestock calling contest, basketball toss, and wheelchair races.
Five lovely ladies also competed to earn the title of MHCA District VI Ms. Missouri Nursing Home Queen. The contestants completed an interview process with District VI President and Country Aire Retirement Estates Administrator, Troy Culbertson.
