Local Men Arrested For Thefts From Adair County Storage Units
Two Scotland County men are behind bars in Adair County following their arrests last week on theft charges stemming from a series of break-ins at a storage units complex in Kirksville.
According to the Kirksville Police Department, Kevin A. Goosey and Jason T. Clair were taken into custody last week after surveillance photos of the storage unit were used to identify them.
According to authorities, the property owner had mounted a trail camera in the storage unit, and images captured on the camera were used to identify the vehicle driven by two men that were photographed illegally gaining entrance to the storage unit and removing items with a value of more than $1,500.
The break-in occurred on March 8th. The vehicle was located in Kirksville on Thursday, March 10th and following a traffic stop, Goosey was taken into custody. Items allegedly stolen from the storage unit were found in the vehicle.
Clair was arrested on March 12th in Kirksville.
The Memphis Police Department served a search warrant at Goosey's residence in Memphis on Friday.
According to the KPD, at least seven thefts had been reported at the storage units since the fall of 2010.

He was arraigned in the Adair County Associate Circuit Court on March 11th, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 16th.
