Memphis Woman Hurt in Crash
A Memphis woman suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon west of town.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Joan C. Meyer, 44, was eastbound on Highway 136 in a 2004 Acura when the car traveled off the east side of the roadway where it struck two highway signs before traveling back across and over the roadway where it struck an embankment.
Meyer was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Hospital in Memphis.
The crash occurred at 2:43 p.m. on March 9th approximately four miles west of Memphis.
The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the ambulance service, Scotland County Sheriff's Office and Scotland County first responders.
