Edina Woman Hurt in Crash on Route 15

An Edina woman suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident Friday morning in Scotland County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Leona E. Edwards, 42, was northbound on Highway 15, north of the Route T intersection in a 1999 Chevrolet when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a driveway before overturning.

Edwards was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Hospital in Memphis and later transferred to University Hospital in Columbia.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff's Department, ambulance service and first responders.

The crash occurred at 10:07 a.m. on Friday, February 18th.
