Legion Baseball Team Facing Tough 2010 Schedule

The 2010 American Legion baseball team from Memphis opened the season June 4th in Hannibal with a pair of victories.

The 17-and-under baseball team has a busy schedule in June and July. The Memphis team will travel to Highland on June 13 for a double header to start at 2:00 p.m. The team will be in Trenton on June 16 for games starting at 1:00 p.m.

A six game home stand will follow with the Memphis squad hosting Quincy on June 19 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Macon will be in town on June 20 for a 2:00 p.m. double header. Trenton will come to Memphis on June 29 for two games to start at 2:00 p.m.

The team will be traveling over the 4th of July holiday. The Memphis squad will be at Palmyra July 3rd for a double header set to start at 1:00 p.m. July 4th will feature a double header at Liberty, IL, with an early start time of 11:00 a.m. On July 7th the team will play at Macon starting at 6:00 p.m.

The team will head back to Trenton on July 10th for a pair of games to start at 1:00 p.m. The following day they will be headed east to Quincy, IL for a July 11th double header to be played at 2:00 p.m.

The regular season will conclude with a night game July 14th in Memphis against Hannibal.

The American Legion Zone 1 Junior Tournament is scheduled for July 15-18.
