Swim Team Gears Up for 5th Season
There will be an informational and sign-up meeting on Monday, May 24 at 6:30 PM at the Legion (swimming pool) Park in Memphis for anyone interested in joining the Memphis Swim Team. All school-age youth are invited to participate.
The Memphis Swim Team, a branch of the Can-Oka (Canton/Kahoka) Swim Team, is entering its fifth year. Parents and athletes alike will attest to the positive benefits of participating in organized swimming: great exercise, vast improvement in stroke technique, every child plays/competes in several events, and, most importantly, lots of fun. Because swimming is a lifetime sport, enjoyed by people of all ages, skills learned by young swimmers will be used for the rest of their lives.
The team practices Monday through Friday at the pool from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Practices will begin on Monday, June 7. For questions, contact coaches Trinity Davis or Heliene Tobler.
