Coleen Ann Bunch, daughter of William Teddie "Ted" and Vivian Lucille (Sizemore) Wild, was born April 1, 1935 in Kirksville, Missouri and died November 29, 2010 in a Kirksville, Missouri hospital at the age of 75.

She married Colonel Willis Bunch on December 25, 1955 in Lancaster, Missouri and to this union five children were born. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Becky Wood and husband Lloyd of Eldon, Missouri, Colonel Bunch Jr. and wife Rose of Lancaster, Missouri, Jennifer Pantry and husband Ron of Lancaster, Missouri and Laura Lee Watson and husband Jason of Lancaster, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Joshua Wood, Jason Wood and wife, Danielle, Sarah Pantry, Katie Pantry, Jacob Pantry, Willis Pantry, Bo Ridgeway and Austin Ridgeway; 2 great grandchildren, Landon Wood and Cassidy Wood; 3 step grandchildren, Mitchell Watson, Jordan Watson and Dillon Watson; several cousins; seven sisters and brothers-in-law.

Preceding Ann in death were her parents; one daughter, Laura Jo Bunch; one brother, William Ted Wild, Jr.; her step father, Boyd O'Briant; five brothers in law, Edward Bunch, Robert Tubbs, John Kantzer, James Brewer and John Bunch; one niece, Rebecca Kantzer and one nephew, James Allen Brewer.

Ann became a member of the Lancaster Christian Church at the age of seven. She was a 54-year member of Chapter E, P.E.O.; a 55-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star; an organizing member of the Schuyler Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and twelve other lineage organizations. She was a charter member of the Schuyler County Historical Society; a leader for Lancaster Lads and Lassie's 4-H club; committee person for Old Settlers and assisted with the Schuyler County Junior Livestock Show.

Mrs. Bunch was employed at The Excelsior for fourteen years before purchasing the newspaper in l989. She continued to publish and edit The Excelsior until publication ceased in 2004.

She was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She also attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, although she was an avid Michigan State fan. She enjoyed reading and doing genealogical research.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri and were officiated by Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith of Lancaster, Missouri assisted by Steve Altheide, pastor of the Lancaster Christian Church of Lancaster, Missouri.

Rhonda Vincent performed "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder" and "Standing On The Promises".

Pallbearers were Jerry Platz, John Platz, Jim Cottey, Bob Bigsby, Rick Bunch and Willie Beeler. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Tubbs, Dennis Tubbs, David Bunch, Dana Bunch, Alan Bunch, Ronald Platz, Fred Kantzer, Charles Beeler and Bud Lancaster.

In honor of Ann's love for reading, the family has established a memorial for the Schuyler R-I School's Library program.

Burial was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
