REBA EILEENE STOTT COCHENOUR

Reba Eileene Stott Cochenour, 86, of Arbela, MO, died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.
She was born on January 25, 1924 in Azen, MO, the daughter of Alvin and Ava Cowan Stott. On December 25, 1938 Reba was united in marriage to Wane Franklin Cochenour. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1991.
She had been employed at Freuhauf Corporation in Ft. Madison, IA and Swifts in Keokuk, IA.
Reba was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked hard raising her children and watching her grandchildren. With all her children, if anyone stopped by her home she would open up some more jars of vegetables that she canned and add another potato. She was a good cook and no one ever went away hungry. She was also a good seamstress and could mend a pair of jeans and the patch would last longer than the jeans. She was a very caring person and always put others ahead of herself.
She is survived by two sons, Bobbie Eugene Cochenour and Jerry Cochenour and his wife Brenda all of Arbela, MO, four daughters, Mary Louise Crader of Topeka, KS, Shirley Darlene Lay and her husband Ronnie of Monticello, MO, Karen Kay Busby and her husband Ronnie of Luray, MO, Glenda Marley and her fiancť Gary Whitaker of Revere, MO, twenty four grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren, six great- great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 17 step-great grandchildren, one brother, Paul Stott of California, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters, Dorothy June Cochenour, Rosa Lee Cochenour Stark James, and Julia Ann Cochenour Watts, one brother, Lloyd Stott, one sister, Naomi Davis, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Orton Stott, a brother-in-law, Carol Davis, three grandchildren, Terasa Ann Crader, Larry Dean Stark and Kevin DeWayne Stark, and a son-in-law, Orville Dean Crader.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Daniel Fox officiating. Burial was in the Praire View Cemetery in Azen, MO.
