Howard M. Oliver of Centralia, Washington, formerly of Memphis, was born April 12, 1930, the son of Adelbert Fian and Mary Lois Gower Oliver. He departed this life July 4, 2010, at 6:30 a.m. at his home in Centralia.

Howard graduated from Memphis High School in the class of 1949. He served his country with the United States Marine Corps in Korea. He was united in marriage with Dorothy Ann Rice, and to this union two sons were born. Howard began his work career with California Edison, living in La Crescenta, California. Later he moved to Luray, MO, then still later back to the West Coast, where he spent the rest of his life.

Howard is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann; two sons, Howard Fie, and Bud Earl and his wife Mary Lou, all of the Washington-Oregon area; one brother, Leland Oliver of Arbela; one sister, Helen Hohl of Donnellson, Iowa; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and an infant sister, brother Glen Oliver of Burlington, Iowa, sister LaVaughn Olson of Alexandria, MO.
