Lyle Grant Stauffer, 18, of Rutledge, MO, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, following an auto accident in Hancock County, IL.

The son of Ernest and Marjorie (Zimmerman) Stauffer, he was born August 9, 1991, in Osage Beach, MO.

Lyle worked with his parents on the family farm. He enjoyed the travel connected with delivering tractors. He also enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

Preceding him in death was one aunt and three cousins.

Survivors include his parents, Ernest and Marjorie Stauffer of Rutledge; his brother, Conrad Lee Stauffer of the home; his grandparents, John and Civilla Stauffer and Ammon and Anna Zimmerman, all of Tunas, MO; thirteen aunts; eleven uncles; and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 9 a.m. at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center and at 9:30 a.m. at the Indian Creek Mennonite Church. Bishop Luke Fox, Titus Martin, Merle Oberholtzer and Carl Hoover officiated the service. Coffin bearers were Clint Zimmerman, Joel Zimmerman, Kirby Zimmerman, Jonas Zimmerman, Arnold Zimmerman, and Stuart Zimmerman. Burial was in the Indian Creek Mennonite Cemetery.
