Church Group to Dedicate New Food Pantry

The community is invited to attend a ribbon cutting and short dedication service for the new Food Pantry at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 20, inside the new building on North Clay (Highway 15) in Memphis. The Food Pantry distributes food each month to about 200 families from the area. It is a ministry of the Scotland County Ministerial Alliance (SCMA).

"This is a great opportunity to come and see the work of the churches in a real, practical way," said Rev. Dana Slavin, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Memphis and member of the SCMA. "After a brief dedication service and ribbon cutting, visitors can take a look around and ask questions about the building and how the Food Pantry works. Of course, food and money donations are always welcome, too!"
